Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nukio application and website (the "Service") provided by Yekta Technologies Ltd, trading as Nukio ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

By using Nukio you agree to these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@nukio.app if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not share your account or credentials with others.

You retain ownership of any content you create or import into the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and warrant that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all curated content (knowledge pages, collections, and editorial copy), design, software, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to Yekta Technologies Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

5. AI-Generated Content

The "Ask AI" feature generates explanations using third-party AI models. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. It is provided for educational enrichment only and does not constitute professional advice of any kind (medical, legal, financial, etc.). We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Free tier

The Service is available free of charge with the limitations described in our pricing page. No payment information is required to use the free tier.

6.2 Paid subscriptions

Nukio Plus is an auto-renewable subscription available in monthly and annual options. The subscription price is confirmed before purchase. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our website and are subject to the applicable billing terms described below.

iOS (Apple App Store): Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price selected at purchase. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings at any time: go to Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your device. Turning off auto-renew takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date.

Android (Google Play): Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in the Google Play app under Subscriptions.

Web: Web subscriptions are purchased through a Stripe checkout flow. Stripe processes web subscription payments, receipts, billing management, and refunds. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date through the billing management link in your account page. Stripe's consumer terms and checkout disclosures also apply to web transactions.

6.3 Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until that date.

Web purchases: Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period starts, except where required by applicable law. Approved refunds for web purchases are processed through Stripe and returned to the original payment method where possible. Refund timing depends on Stripe, your payment method, and your bank. See Stripe's consumer terms.

App store purchases (iOS and Android): Refunds are handled entirely by the respective app store in accordance with their refund policies. We cannot process refunds for app store purchases directly. Apple refund requests are handled through reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play refund requests are handled through Google Play's refund flow.

6.4 Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase, and the change will take effect at the next renewal after that notice period. App store subscriptions follow the respective store's price-change notification requirements.

6.5 Free trials

Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. After the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Service. Where practical, we will give you prior notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yekta Technologies Ltd and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.

10. Governing Law

Nukio is available worldwide. These Terms are governed by applicable law, and nothing in them limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country or jurisdiction (including EU consumer rights, UK consumer rights, Australian Consumer Law, or applicable state laws in the US). Any dispute shall be subject to the competent courts of the jurisdiction where you reside, or as otherwise required by local law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.
